Located at House on the Sarthorn, a century old national heritage site. Paii is right beside (part of) W Hotel in Bangkok. We booked (online) this Paii for lunch on our 2nd day in Bangkok after 3 years of pandemic. Once we stepped in we were greeted by the host the moment we stepped in. Then we were told to wait at the bar awaiting for dining room to get ready. We were amazed with the interior and decor of the bar area which is a mix of old and new.
The moment we walked in the dining room we were shocked by the details of the old patterned ceiling, the carving on the pillars that match with a shocking yellow wall which is very contemporary.
We order 2 3-course lunch sets which also show the passion of the chef. I usually avoid eating carbs but end up I ate up 1/2 of the rice that was being served.
Paii served authentic thai food with beautiful garnish with western style arrangement. The food was just delicious. See photos for details.
For this lunch we felt so heart warming for the service. The host, hostess, the servers, the chef, they all made us feel so special. They paid attention to every little details, one server even spent time to see how to take nice pictures for us, which angle works best etc. The chef also came talking to us to about the food. When we want to walk around at this century old building the hostess accompany us as a tour guide. We felt very special by the extraordinary service.
We highly recommend this place to anyone who want to try quality Thai cuisine at this beautiful restaurant.
