Pascal will close his restaurant in Paris and relocate his entire Chef Team at La Scala, The Sukhothai Bangkok, from 10-15 November 2015. This opportunity is a dream come true for all French cuisine fine dining gourmand - plus the wait is now over for one of the hardest restaurants in the world to book a reservation!
We warmly welcome back Pascal and his team at The Sukhothai Bangkok once again, the first time being in 2010. Five years have passed by but his incredible reputation and expertise are still maintaining his position at the highest level with a ranking of 36 in the 2015 “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.”
Pascal uses travel as a source of inspiration and constantly reinvents his recipes, giving free rein to his imagination. His experience has clearly influenced his approach at Astrance, which combines French haute-cuisine with exotic ingredients from the Far East. Cream and butter are used sparingly to deliver his style of food, “Modern French with Asian influences.”
In the kitchens of L’Astrance, Pascal has redefined French cuisine by steering away from traditional staples, including salt, replacing them with fresh local ingredients. In November at La Scala, Pascal will bring with him a selection of highly imaginative special recipes including the following, which will be available for both lunch and dinner.
- Toast with foie gras, button mushrooms and green grape juice
- Steamed toothfish, rosemary beurre noisette, marinated leek in a seaweed broth
- Jasmin eggnog and chestnut honey madeleine
In addition, Pascal Barbot will join our legendary Sunday Brunch with his signature testing menus on Sunday, 15 November 2015 at the Colonnade restaurant.
