Crispy baked tart crust with cream filling and fresh strawberry

Ingredient and Portion
• 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
• All-purpose flour, for work surface
• 4 fresh strawberries
• Custard Ingredients:
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp corn flour
400ml full cream milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
Carefully roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut out eight 3 inch squares, and place on a parchment- lined baking sheet..
Bake pastry in oven until crisp and lightly browned, about 30 minutes.
Place the egg yolks, sugar, and corn flour in a pan and whisk together until well combined. Slowly add in the milk and mix well with no lumps and thicken.

. Let it simmer for 2-3 mins, then remove from heat and add the vanilla extract.

Transfer the custard to a bowl, cover, and let it cool.
Cut strawberry in pieces, put them on each layer of pastry

To assemble, top the pastry with custard cream then apples; repeat with another layer of each. Serve immediately.
