I must have been to this place over 50 times, since I used to live down the road near Ma Hotel. 

They do the best Masala Dosa in town, by far. The service is friendly and the place is spotlessly clean.

100% recommended if you are hankering for some authentic South Indian food!

Uma Uma, never been before, took a cab, ordered, waited patiently in the hopes that this could be the next best thing... it ALMOST was.

Noodles were of the ultra-thin type which is not my personal fave, but still had some bite to them. The broth was deep, rich, not too fatty, perfectly balanced, the Chashu was up there with some of the best ever: MELT-ON-YOUR-TONGUE tender, full of flavour, absolutely incredible. Egg was cooked a few seconds the wrong side of perfect, but made up for it in leaps and bounds with the marinade, a deep smokey soy flavour. I also love when anyone puts bean sprouts on as garnish, adding that crunchy element. All in all this doesn't topple Bankara or Kio but sits strongly in third place. A crowning achievement and proof that you should always try new places.

Ikkousha was a short cab ride from my hotel, and had very favourable reviews online. The fact that the broth looked good in photos also helped, as that can very often be a litmus test in such cases. 

The service was quite slow, but friendly. The prices were reasonable. Ramen arrived with a glass of soda water, and I dove in (taking photos beforehand of course). The broth was solid, slightly more fatty that Kio but not as rich as Bankara, the egg was cooked well but not marinated so it was a little boring, the noodles were regular ramen noodles and cooked well, the pork flavourful but lacking a bit in the tenderness department. All things considered a very decent bowl, but not pushing for the top 3 spot yet in Bangkok.

Opting for the most local place suffering from intense jet-lag and a nagging cold from Oslo, this place was 300 meters from my hotel and the reviews were promising.

I got a slight feeling of apprehension upon seeing it was a street stall with seating inside a shopfront because in Thailand that works for local food, but i've never eaten Ramen at a place like that. Buoyed by my excitement at being back in the big city, and serious withdrawal symptoms, I headed on in and ordered the special.

The service was polite and fast. The food, massively underwhelming. The noodles had a nice chew to them, the egg was acceptable, the chicken pretty tasty, but what let this down was the broth. It was so thick and rich that it felt like you were eating Christmas gravy that had been reduced far too long. It created a gluey sensation on the palate and left me feeling a bit queasy. Needless to say, I didn't finish it.

At 140 Bhat it's definitely not on the expensive side, but when eating ramen in Bangkok its worth spending a bit more and getting a lot more quality.

A veritable institution in Bangkok feathery delight folklore, this place has been churning out crispy, moist chicken for over 50 years. Sure, you might be surrounded by abrasively loud Americans chomping on wings, but it's worth the headache for some comfort food that sure to cure the ills of last night. In my honest opinion the dark meat was phenomenal, the white meat had some dry-parts to it, but take nothing away: This is seriously good fried chicken, the colonel better watch his back.

This restaurant has a couple of locations, i’ve only been to the one in Thong Lor, but it was a mind-blowing experience. Moderately priced, packed to the brim with Thai families, I found a table outside by the road and ordered a few dishes with some friends. Everything was top notch, perfectly authentic Southern Thai food. Great service, good prices, amazing food. Not to be missed. (Their Beef Green Curry was sublime, as was their house special plump prawns with al dente beans and curry paste, the fish cakes are spectacular also)

Warning: This is real authentic local southern food. They don't mess around for tourists here, this is punchy, pungeant, spicy and flavourful. Only go here if you know what you're getting yourself in for, but if you like authentic food you cannot beat it.

เมื่อสถานการณ์ต่าง ๆ เริ่มคลี่คลายไปในทางที่ดีขึ้น  ไหนจะคิดถึงเพื่อน ไหนจะคิดถึงชาบูชิ วันนี้เลยขอนัดชาวตี้ชาบูออกมาพบปะกันหน่อย สถานที่ตี้ชาบูในวันนี้ก็คือ #ชาบูชิสาขาเซ็นทรัลลาดพร้าว นั่นเอง อยากจะมาตั้งแต่บีทีเอสเพิ่งเปิด พอได้ฤกษ์จะมา ดันเจอโควิดไปอีก  มาค่ะ ครั้งนี้ไม่พลาด เดินออกจากบีทีเอสสถานีห้าแยกลาดพร้าวสวย ๆ ฉันจะไม่ยอมเดินจนจั๊กเปียกจากใต้ดินอีกต่อไป และการมาครั้งนี้ก็เจอเซอร์ไพร์สเพราะชาบูชิสาขานี้ เค้าเปลี่ยนไปจากเดิม มี 2 รูปแบบ 2 ราคาให้เราเลือกทานกัน แบบแรกคือ Gold Buffet ราคา 399 บาท ทานได้ทุกอย่างในร้านเหมือนเดิม ทั้งเนื้อสไลซ์ หมูสไลซ์ เบคอน กุ้ง หมึก รวมไปถึงซูชิหน้าต่าง ๆ แบบที่สองคือ Platinum Buffet ราคา 599 บาท ความพิเศษของ Platinum ก็คือเราจะได้เมนูพรีเมียม 3 เมนู สำหรับสายเนื้อ 2 เมนู คือ “เนื้อกาตะ โรซึ” กับ “เนื้อกาตะ บาระ” และสำหรับสายหมู คือ “พรีเมียมเบคอนคูโรบูตะ” ทั้งสองราคาทานได้ 1 ชั่วโมง 15 นาทีเหมือนเดิม มาเพราะคิดถึงชาบูชิทั้งที จัดแบบ Platinum Buffet 599 บาทไปเลย สำหรับใครที่มาแล้วกลัวว่าจะไม่ได้นั่งด้วยกัน ไม่ต้องกลัวเลยค่า เค้าให้เรานั่งรวมกันได้แล้ว  และยังมีอะคริลิกกั้นระหว่างโต๊ะให้เราด้วย ส่วนเซ็ตจานบนโต๊ะก็ใส่ซองแยกให้อย่างดี ปลอดภัยหายห่วงตามวิถีนิวนอร์มัล การสั่งอาหารจะให้สั่งผ่าน QR Order ที่ตั้งอยู่บนโต๊ะแทนการเสิร์ฟบนสายพาน โดยใช้มือถือเราสแกนได้เลย เมื่อสแกนแล้วก็จะขึ้น E-Menu แบบนี้ มีบอกถึงวิธีการสั่งให้และยังดูประวัติการสั่งได้ด้วย ส่วนรายการอาหารก็ยังจัดแน่นเหมือนกับตอนที่เสิร์ฟบนสายพาน ดูเพื่อนเราค่ะ ตั้งใจสั่งกันมาก ไม่ยอมคุยกันเลย และใครที่ทาน Platinum Buffet แบบเรา ถ้าจะสั่งเมนูพรีเมียมเพิ่ม ต้องสั่งผ่านพนักงานนะคะ  เพราะเมนูเนื้อกาตะ โรซึ เนื้อกาตะ บาระ และพรีเมียมเบคอนคูโรบุตะจะไม่ได้รวมอยู่ใน E-Menu ค่ะ
ความหิว ความวู่วาม ความต่างคนต่างสั่ง มาเสิร์ฟทีแทบจะล้นโต๊ะ  ซูม ๆ แต่ละเมนู #เนื้อกาตะโรซึ (เนื้อสันคอ) มัน ใหญ่ มาก เนื้อแน่น ๆ เต็ม ๆ คำ #เนื้อกาตะบาระ (เนื้อพื้นท้อง) ใครชอบแบบติดมันหน่อย ๆ ชอบแน่นอน คอนเฟิร์ม #พรีเมียมเบคอนคูโรบุตะ ตัวเบคอนจะเนื้อแน่นและมีความหนึบ ๆ กว่าเบคอนทั่วไป “เนื้อกาตะ โรซึ” คือเมนูที่โหวตกันแล้วว่าเดอะเบสท์ อันดับหนึ่งในใจของชาวตี้  ชอบจริง ๆ นะคะ ถ่ายรูปยืนยันกันเลย อิ่มหนำสำราญกันแล้วก็ไปจ่ายเงินกันค่ะ สะดวกสุด ๆ ด้วยการสแกนจ่ายผ่าน QR Code  สแกนผ่านแอปธนาคารแล้ว ก็จะมียอดเงินขึ้นมาแจ้งให้เราจ่ายแบบนี้เลยค่า สำหรับการทานชาบูชิในวิถีนิวนอร์มัล ก็แอบคิดถึงบรรยากาศสายพานหมุนวนผ่านหน้าอยู่เหมือนกัน แต่การสั่งอาหารผ่าน QR Oder ก็เริ่ดอยู่ เราชอบตรงที่สั่งแบบระบุจำนวนได้เลย ชอบกินอะไรก็สั่งมาได้แบบเน้น ๆ ส่วนมาตรการอื่น ๆ ของทางร้านก็ดี มีการวัดไข้ ให้สแกนไทยชนะก่อนเข้าร้าน หรือถ้าไม่อยากสแกนก็ลงชื่อ-เบอร์โทรในฟอร์มได้ พนักงานในร้านก็ใส่ถุงมือ หน้ากากอนามัย และเฟสชิลด์เวลามาเสิร์ฟ แอบมองไปในครัวพนักงานก็ใส่หน้ากากอนามัยกับถุงมือเหมือนกัน ทำให้เรามั่นใจได้ว่าทุกเมนูที่มาเสิร์ฟสะอาดปลอดภัยแน่นอน  ปล. สแกนเช็คอินกันแล้ว อย่าลืมสแกนเช็คเอ้าท์กันด้วยนะคะ เดี๋ยวจะนั่งกันนานจนเค้าคิดว่าเราเป็นหุ้นส่วน

 ร้านอาหาร โค้งไผ่หลิว เปิดมากว่า 15 ปี อยู่ใกล้ ธนาคารกสิกร สนง.ใหญ่ ราษฎร์บูรณะ อาหารแนะนำ ไก่ย่างหนังกรอบ ส้มตำปูม้า แกงเลียง ทอดมันปลากราย อาหารสดใหม่ บรรยากาศภายในร้าน นั่งสบาย 

ตั้งแต่มีสถานการณ์โควิดก็เมื่อวันอาทิตย์ที่ 10 พ.ค. ที่ผ่านมานี่แหละ ที่ได้ลองแวะไปกินอีกครั้ง ซึ่งร้านนี้ก็เคยไปบ่อยอยู่เหมือนกัน ร้านเขายังคงรักษาความสะอาดอย่างยอดเยี่ยมนะ พนักงานก็เป็นกันเอง บริการดีเหมือนเดิม ที่สำคัญรสชาติที่ห่างหายไปนานก็อร่อยเหมือนเดิมไม่เคยเปลี่ยน สำหรับร้านนี้แล้วเมนูประจำคือ ช็อคโกแลตเย็น นี่แหละปลาขอแนะนำค่ะ

วันก่อนได้กลับมาซื้อที่ร้านนี้อีกครั้ง แต่เราได้ลองเค้กลินจี่เด้อ มันแซ่บมากเลยอยากจะแชร์ ใครที่อยู่แถวศาลายานี่ต้องห้ามพลาดเลยบอกตรงๆ เขาทำได้อร่อยและหน้าตาหน้ากินมาก เหมาะสำหรับเป็นอาหารเช้าในวันเร่งรีบอย่างดี ราคาก็น่าคบ ถ้ามีโอกาสจะไปอีก แต่อยากไปนั่งชิลๆ ที่ร้านมากกว่าซื้อกลับ
